Budapest (in Hungary) - The route of the direct, daytime trains passes through the German city of Dresden, the Czech city of Prague, the Slovak city of Bratislava and enters Hungary via Szob. Departures are daily from BERLIN Hbf (Hauptbahnhof) unless noted. With the exception of Train EC 179, the DAYTIME trains from Berlin via Prague DO NOT stop at the main station in Prague (called hlavni nadrazi), but instead stop at Praha Holesovice only.
Note: the Eurailpass, the Europass and the German Rail Passes are not valid in the Czech Republic or the Slovak Republic. Please obtain an additional ticket for the segment of the journey from the German border through both the Czech and Slovak Republics.
